Hello!
Our workshop manual which came with the boat helpfuly suggests filling the oil in the gearbox of the 1gm10 to 'between the two marks on the dipstick'. A logical and expected instruction you would think....HOWEVER, the dipstick in the gearbox only appears to have one mark, about 1cm from the bottom of the dipstick. (Standard gearbox, not a saildrive).
1) Can anyone confirm where the oil should be filled to (the max level)?
(We have added the prescribed 0.25ltr which seems to take it to just above the mark - is this correct?)
2) Can anyone suggest a decent operators manual or workshop manual for these engines?
